Cheongju Airport parking: choose by vehicle size and length of stay
30-second summary
- Cars and other small vehicles use Lots 1–4; large vehicles use Lot 5 (large vehicles only). Chartered buses and other large vehicles should use the separate bus-only parking lot. Large vehicles have been barred from Lots 1 and 2 since 18 April 2025.
- The daily maximum is ₩10,000 at Lots 1 & 2 (after 10 hours) and ₩6,000 at Lots 3 & 4 (after 6 hours), repeating for each extra day.
- The numbers above can be up to 45 minutes old. If the lots are full, the official options are the temporary lot, the official valet service or public transport.
This guide is written for the Cheongju page only. Parkingo is an unofficial service with no link to Korea Airports Corporation; what follows summarises the official Cheongju Airport parking page, which remains the authoritative source.
1. How the lots are laid out
Passenger parking is priced in two pairs, Lots 1 & 2 and Lots 3 & 4, while Lot 5 is reserved for large vehicles. Chartered coaches and other large vehicles are asked to use the dedicated bus parking lot, which also has a waiting room for drivers picking up tour groups.
You can enter and leave 24 hours a day. Fast EV chargers: 2 in the parking building and 2 in Lot 2 (plus 7 standard chargers there). Accessible parking bays: 48 in P1, 48 in the parking building and 73 in P2.
2. Reading the live numbers
The figures come from Korea Airports Corporation open data and are reused for up to 45 minutes; the "Last updated" time tells you when they were taken. Cars keep coming and going in the meantime, so if only a few spaces show, assume the lot may be full by the time you arrive and have a fallback ready.
Badges reflect the share of spaces still free: 30% or more is Available, 10% or more is Moderate, below that it is Crowded, and zero remaining spaces is Full. "No Info" means we could not get a value, not that the lot is empty.
3. Paying and leaving
- Your licence plate is read automatically at the entrance and the fee is settled automatically when you exit.
- For a quicker exit, pay at one of the 2 kiosks in the passenger terminal (next to the ticketing counter opposite domestic arrivals) or a pre-pay kiosk in the parking building. Leave within 20 minutes of paying or an extra charge may apply.
- Lots 1 & 2 accept Hi-Pass payment in the Hi-Pass lane, except for charges of ₩50,000 or more; it still works if the final amount after discounts is under ₩50,000.
4. Full lots and long stays
- When it's full. The airport points you to its official valet service (25% off the parking fee; check the official notice for conditions) or the temporary lot. The temporary lot opens only when the lots are full and may charge depending on conditions, announced when it operates. Advance parking bookings are not offered.
- Leave the car at home. The airport warns that its lots are very busy and asks travellers to use public transport. If you do drive, check the live status above before you set off.
- Staying a while. The same rates apply every day of the week and there is no long-stay discount. Vehicles left without permission for 3 months or more may be towed.
5. Rates and contact
Rates by lot, vehicle classes and discount groups are summarised in Parking Rates below. Rates can change, so check the official parking fee page before you pay. For parking questions or receipt reissues, call the Cheongju Airport parking control room at 043-210-6755. See About for where Parkingo's data comes from, and report display errors via Contact.
